Washington Gas has a long-standing commitment to service and making a difference in the lives of residents and stakeholders in the Washington, D.C. area communities it serves. Faced with complex and various stakeholder needs, the leadership team is taking a renewed effort to stakeholder engagement and community outreach.
For the first time ever, there is a strong desire to inform, educate and engage the various stakeholder groups with an intentional and integrated plan intended to highlight the gas utility company’s key strategic goals.
Recently, SRB was tasked to conceptualize, develop and write a Stakeholder Engagement and Community Outreach Plan based on market research and 16 interviews with corporate executives, directors and managers. The Plan will serve as the foundation and guidepost for the Stakeholder Engagement business unit, working alongside the Corporate Communications Department, other internal business units and the utility’s leadership. Our agency recommendations and key performance indicators (KPIs) will help re-engage stakeholders post-COVID, in an effort to improve customer service and reposition Washington Gas as a trusted and dependable partner in the communities it serves.
