Digital Marketing Account Executive

SRB Communications, LLC is a boutique multicultural marketing and advertising agency headquartered in Washington, D.C. with a satellite office based in, Baltimore, Md. We are seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Account Executive with 6-7 years of digital, social media account and project management experience to drive key client accounts across the agency, while serving as a media buyer delivering best-in-class digital advertising campaign executions. The Digital Marketing Account Executive will be responsible for day-to-day management of major client accounts and paid digital media activities across a variety of media platforms and initiatives. Ideally, the successful candidate will manage the execution, optimization and reporting of paid digital media campaigns to enhance target audience exposure and experience. The candidate will integrate into the account team to provide strategic direction and input for account reporting (ATBs & IOs), media plans, digital media buying and placement, and measurement reporting. 

Reports to: Sr. Vice President, Marketing and Communications 


Strategy and Media Planning

  • Manage day-to-day client relationships, develop trusted advisor relationships with key account managers and customer stakeholders, pitch fresh and innovative ideas to clients
  • Lead the digital and multimedia communications strategy for clients and the agency to support marketing campaign plans and goals; contribute to agency and client needs, as assigned, i.e., conduct market research, develop and write communications and digital media plans, manage budgets, direct creative development of graphic assets, other duties as assigned on digital marketing plan execution
  • Build relationships with emerging technology, media, third-party influencers and internal business partners to meet client and agency needs
  • Troubleshoot internal and client pain points suggesting remedial courses of action; address digital media vendors and client issues thoughtfully and effectively

Digital Media Buying and Placement Strategy/ Project Management

  • Manage, strategic and tactical planning to optimize paid media campaigns across digital platforms e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Over-the-Top (OTT), YouTube, Pandora, Spotify and more. Digital buy execution A PLUS
  • Manage and track operational performance of multiple accounts ensuring quality work, deadline and budget adherence; prepare media plans, authorization to bid (ATBs), insertion orders (IOs); prepare and present account measurement growth reports
  • Serve as daily internal account Executive, digital media vendors and client contact, and act as client lead
  • Work with third-party digital advertising vendors to plan, manage, activate, measure and optimize paid media campaigns
  • Create and manage paid media campaigns across a variety of channels (e.g., search, social, display)
  • Work with vendors to place, manage, and report on media content

SEO/SEM / Measurement and Reporting

  • Engage SEO and SEM strategy across all SRB and client campaigns and websites; utilize metrics to increase organic search volume, develop editorial content calendar and identify content gaps
  • Translate brand value and mission through content marketing tactics to reach new target audiences, generate leads and achieve successful and measurable results for clients
  • Consistently produce high-quality excellent internal and external campaign reporting

Social Media Strategy, Development and Execution

  • Develop, manage, and revise social media strategy, content calendar, editorial calendar and posting cadence for all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn for our clients and the agency
  • Lead the development of social engagement initiatives, such as Twitter chats, Twitter polls, Facebook “live” events, Instagram “live” events and more to strengthen existing client and agency relationships and build new relationships with key audiences
  • Use metrics and analytics tools to monitor and track the performance of the client and agency social media accounts and current strategies; make strategic recommendations to improve performance when necessary 
  • Prepare monthly metrics and analytics reports for client campaigns, initiatives and projects and SRB’s social media activity and present regularly
  • Lead the development of paid social campaigns and conduct A/B testing on content
  • Engage with social media audience daily, interacting in real-time to increase engagement i.e., responding to comments, liking others posts, sharing content, and more
  • Conduct daily media monitoring for our clients, partners, and the agency 
  • Grow the agency’s social media following and presence online
  • Develop a genuine brand voice for our clients and the agency online; establish and foster genuine relationships with audiences
  • Conduct landscape and competitive analyses, audience research, and other market research
  • Design creative for organic and paid social media posts and campaigns, including images, videos, animation/gifs and infographics
  • Create and resize other non-social media related graphics elements for small projects
  • Manage the agency monthly blog, including sourcing ideas and writing content
  • Manage the agency quarterly newsletter, including managing the newsletter budget, assigning tasks, and writing content, creating imagery/graphics, as needed
  • Occasionally manage client social media campaigns, websites, blogs, newsletters and communications collateral, as needed, i.e., posting and copywriting social and digital media, websites, blogs, e-newsletters and communications collateral and materials; other writing tasks as assigned
  • Stay updated on the latest social and digital media techniques, trends, and more

Agency Functional Requirements

  • Assist SRB team in preparing proposals, RFP responses and presentations for new and existing clients and partners
  • Contribute to business growth through introducing clients to new capabilities and technologies, building a network of industry contacts, participating in relevant professional organizations and sharing best practices 
  • Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals 
  •  Contribute to additional client and agency work, as assigned

Agency Functional Requirements

  • Assist SRB team in preparing proposals, RFP responses and presentations for new and existing clients and partners
  • Contribute to business growth through introducing clients to new capabilities and technologies, build a network of industry contacts, participate in relevant professional organizations and share best practices 
  • Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals 
  • Contribute to additional client and agency work, as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing and/or communications, or a related field
  • Proven ability to manage multiple small or medium-size marketing and advertising campaigns simultaneously
  • At least 5 years of experience across all social media/digital paid media platforms
  • Experience with Google business tools like Analytics, Tag Executive, Data Studio and Search Console
  • Proven track record analyzing social and paid media campaign performance and developing and implementing optimization recommendations
  • Experience developing traditional and digital communications and marketing plans and have a firm understanding of traditional and digital marketing and media trends
  • Experience planning and managing direct to publisher or programmatic digital ad buys 
  • Robust SEO research skills that give contextual enrichment to digital campaigns, promotions and content
  • Strong market research, writing, editing and client interaction skills
  • Experience directly managing paid digital media accounts on Google AdWords A PLUS
